Wednesday Evening Meal
We have brought back our Wednesday evening meal. This is a great opportunity for fellowship and allows working parents to avoid cooking on Wednesdays prior to coming to Bible Study. The Wednesday meal will begin at 5:45 pm and end in time for Bible Study at 6:30 pm. Should you plan to have dinner at the church you need to contact Maggie Speed or the Church office by Monday to reserve a place. The reservation is necessary to keep the amount of food prepared (and the cost) to a minimum. The cost of the meal is $3,00 per person 9 years and up and only $2.00 for children ages 3 - 8. If you have a larger family, the good news is that there is a $10.00 maximum per family. Children will be offered a kids meal (peanut butter and jelly sancwich, hot dog, etc) should they no want the main entree. In order to serve you better and accomodate budgets, the option to prepay for meals is also available. The menu is designed on a two-month rotation. Life Line Screening
Stroke is the third leading cause of death in the United States, and this catastrophic event can strike without warning. In fact, four out of five people who have had a stroke showed no apparent warning signs prior to their attack. But, strokes can be stopped in their tracks. OnThursday, October 28, 2010 at FBC of Horizon City, we will host a Life Line Screening preventive health event to scan for the risk of stroke and other vascular conditions.
Coming this Fall - The Sinclairs
Larry and Freida Sinclair will be here for the Fall Festival. If you have not seen this dynamic couple you will not want to miss them. Larry, a chalk artist, and his ventriloquist wife, Freida, have been in the ministry of teaching souls for Christ for more than 35 years. Women, Join Us on Tuesday Mornings
Every Tuesday morning at 9:00am our Women's Ministry will be shaping up! Come join us for a 30-minute walk indoor exercise routine. Then, at 10:00am the women will meet for a prayer meeting. Join us each week for one or both of these important events.
