FBC of Horizon City held it's annual VBS on June 13th - 17th. The theme for this year's VBS was "The Armor of God". Throughout the week the boys and girls participated in Bible study and drills, and crafts. They also learned about missions, with an emphasis on Guatemala. The boys and girls donated over $270 to go towards school supplies for children in the mountain villages of Guatemala.
Children's Ministry
Our Children's Ministry has something for all ages up through 6th grade. On Sundays, we have Sunday School for all ages at 8:45 a.m. During the worship service, we also have Children's Church for those children from 4 years old through 2nd grade. Children will attend the praise and worship portion of the 10:00 a.m. service with their parents and then be released to Children's Church prior to the sermon.
We are looking for help in the Children's Ministry area and especially in the area of Children's Church. If you are interested in helping out in this area we are looking for men and women who would like to be part of the teaching rotation. This would involve teaching about once every two months. For more information you can contact Maggie Speed, our Childen's Ministry Coordinator, through the church.
