FBC of Horizon City held it's annual VBS on June 13th - 17th. The theme for this year's VBS was "The Armor of God". Throughout the week the boys and girls participated in Bible study and drills, and crafts. They also learned about missions, with an emphasis on Guatemala. The boys and girls donated over $270 to go towards school supplies for children in the mountain villages of Guatemala.
Youth/Young Adult Ministry
| Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. -- Isaiah 40:3031 |
Our Youth/Young Adult Ministry (Y.A.M.) is set up to meet the needs of our high school boys and girls and young adults. Evan Dupuis, our Youth Ministry Coordinator, along with Kenta and Nicole Matsuda and Lisa Garza provide leadership and guidance to group.
Y.A.M. provides many opportunities for Bible Study, fellowship and fun through regularly scheduled and special activities/events. Our regularly scheduled events include weekly meetings on Sunday mornings (8:45am) and Wednesday evenings (6:30pm) at the church and Monday evening get togethers at 7:00pm. For more information on these and other events of Y.A.M. contact the church or talk to one of the adult coordinators mentioned above.
